Promise keepers are going to resurrect themselves with a major event in Boulder, Colorado.
I hate to bring this up, but I number among my former aquaintances a woman who ran an escort services. Her experience was that the only time she was harder pressed to provide girls than when the Church of God met in Anderson IN, was trying to keep up with demand when promise keepers came to Indiana.
So I just blow them off.

That's awful :-(
Do you remember when WYD was in Australia? The brothels claimed to be offering discounts because they expected to be busy. They weren't.
Err... ummmm... How do I put this? Ahh.. Redneck, my friend, my beloved brother in Christ... after talking about how Promise Keepers have trouble finding brothels that aren't full you just might want to conclude by saying something other than "so I just blow them off."
I'm just sayin'.
Heh. I know a guy who used to work at Six Flags Chicago and said that crime was always worst during the protestant, er I mean "Christian Festival."
NOOOOOOOOOO, say it ain't so !!!
I am so disapointed, but not suprised by anything anymore.
Bear-i-tone,
You're probably right, but I don't know what else to do!
I get so discouraged by the way that we, as Christians, keep having this same sort of problem, whether gay or straight, crop up! We seem to have embraced the values of the modern world, even while our rhetoric says we oppose them.
I have a lot more respect for someone who goes to one of these events to sell their sexual services for profit than I do for those who go to these events, talk about fidelity, etc, then call someone to their hotel room to buy sexual services.
I mean, if you meet someone in the lobby, and get run over by temptation and make a mistake, that's one thing. But to think it through, make a call, and spend your families funds of a BJ or something is infinitly worse.
No debating that point with you, redneck. I just saying our choice of words may have been a little... unfortunate, and subject to possible double entendres.
Oooops!!!!
I guess I'll just ignore them, rather than what I said earlier--I hadn't even thought of the Double entedre!
